The Borealis set comprises an 849 ballpoint pen and an 844 mechanical pencil, inspired by the violet and green shades of the Northern Lights. Both colours are not only reminiscent of magical moments under a starry sky, they also have a contemporary look. The set has a variety of uses – the graphite lead in the pencil (Ø: 0.5 mm) is ideal for technical drawings, whilst the ballpoint pen with a black Goliath cartridge (line width F) renders up to 600 A4 pages of handwritten text before it needs replacing. The mechanical pencil has a graphite lead repository and an eraser under the push-button that can be replaced. The set comes in a presentation box that echoes the product’s colour progression and features the Caran d’Ache emblem as a cutout, revealing both writing implements.
