The soft velour lining feels soft to the touch and protects the contents within. The travel bag can be carried either by hand or over the shoulder using the removable strap. The vegetable-tanned, hand-dyed calf leather enhances the modern look of this travel bag. The new Porto Cervo Travel Collection from Bethge combines Italian craftsmanship with a timeless aesthetic design. The items in this collection are all made from vegetable-tanned calfskin – a full-grain, uncoated leather that is crafted from top-quality hides using traditional techniques. After the skin has been prepared, the colourist dyes the leather using colour pigments. Similar to an artist in front of an empty canvas, experiments are made using different colour hues, essential oils and a variety of tools: Brushes of all sizes, sponges, cloths. The leather is given a slight sheen by treating it with a nourishing cream, which results in an intense, vibrant colour with varying transparency and depth that resembles a patina which is acquired over time and use of the leather in question. An unmistakable collection has thus been created, full of elegance and quality, with accessories that can be beautifully mixed and matched.
