The minimalist design of this tray organiser for writing implements and other small items for a neat and tidy desk is crafted by hand from a single piece of double-layered full-grain leather (cowhide) in an Italian leather goods workshop. The leather is cut in several precise steps before being folded by hand and then stitched together. The clever technique used in creating this pen tray in an understated design has almost no seams, e.g. in the base. White stitches at both ends, which is also the tray’s namesake, add a visual contrast. This leather tray for writing implements, whether used on the desk at home, in the office or as a neat and tidy tray organiser on the bookshelf or sideboard, fits in with virtually all design tastes, thanks to its distinctive design language. The double-layered construction, including the option of using two different leather colours for the interior and exterior, creates a unique contrast. The leather, which is tanned in Italy using solely natural vegetable tannins, means that toxic chemicals are avoided.
