The frame of the backgammon board is made of solid dark walnut with a natural grain; mahogany is used for the inner sections. The backgammon pieces, also made of walnut, are an absolute delight to hold in the hand, as they have all been crafted with a high degree of precision and attention to detail. The exterior is covered in durable leather (cowhide) to protect the wooden frame from scratches and dents. The leather boasts fine embossing, is scratch-resistant and also has water-repellent properties. The decorative stitching around the leather edges is colour-matched for a minimalist look. The flap is slightly magnetic. When closed, the backgammon board blends seamlessly into your interior as a special decorative object.
The aesthetically pleasing board is also a highlight. This is made of from smooth nappa leather, whilst the contrasting triangles (‘points’) are crafted in suede to add visual accents and ensure an especially pleasing tactile gaming experience.
