About the Porto Cervo Collection

This premium and timeless watch roll case in hand-dyed calf leather stores up to two watches – a design piece for travelling or at home. The case is lined with a soft velour fabric and stops the valuable contents from getting scratched. The interior is also finished in a colour-matching embossed leather that creates a special material contrast. The removable watch cushion keeps the watchstrap firmly in place when not in use. A highly polished metal clasp keeps the case securely closed. The leather is extremely robust. Over time it becomes more flexible and acquires a characteristic patina, producing varying shades of a darker colour.
The new Porto Cervo Travel Collection from Bethge combines Italian craftsmanship with a timeless aesthetic design. The items in this collection are all made from vegetable-tanned calfskin – a full-grain, uncoated leather that is crafted from top-quality hides using traditional techniques. After the skin has been prepared, the colourist dyes the leather using colour pigments. Similar to an artist in front of an empty canvas, experiments are made using different colour hues, essential oils and a variety of tools: Brushes of all sizes, sponges, cloths. The leather is given a slight sheen by treating it with a nourishing cream, which results in an intense, vibrant colour with varying transparency and depth that resembles a patina which is acquired over time and use of the leather in question. An unmistakable collection has thus been created, full of elegance and quality, with accessories that can be beautifully mixed and matched.
