Whether you intend using it as a toiletry bag, make-up bag or for other accessories: the soft velour lining protects the contents. The block-coloured, hand-dyed leather adds an aesthetically pleasing touch to your bathroom and is also exceptionally hard-wearing. Over time, the leather acquires a specific patina that gives the leather a characteristic look. The edges of the leather are painted by hand in black.
The new Porto Cervo Travel Collection from Bethge combines Italian craftsmanship with a timeless aesthetic design. The items in this collection are all made from vegetable-tanned calfskin – a full-grain, uncoated leather that is crafted from top-quality hides using traditional techniques. After the skin has been prepared, the colourist dyes the leather using colour pigments. Similar to an artist in front of an empty canvas, experiments are made using different colour hues, essential oils and a variety of tools: Brushes of all sizes, sponges, cloths. The leather is given a slight sheen by treating it with a nourishing cream, which results in an intense, vibrant colour with varying transparency and depth that resembles a patina which is acquired over time and use of the leather in question. An unmistakable collection has thus been created, full of elegance and quality, with accessories that can be beautifully mixed and matched.
