Particular emphasis is placed on keeping the material as natural as possible – the vegetable tanning of the leather means that no toxic chemicals are used. The crinkles and creases of the leather remain visible – this is intentional and adds to the authenticity and quality, making every desk pad a unique item. Over time, the leather acquires a distinctive patina that reflects one’s own work patterns. The edges are sealed by hand using black paint.
